The East Hartford Federal Credit Union was chartered in October of 1959 to serve the employees of the Town of East Hartford. It was later amended to include the Town of East Hartford's Housing Authority employees. In February of 1996 the Credit Union welcomed the employees of the Department of Defense in East Hartford (DCMA and DCAA) into the field of membership. Over the years, additional employee groups and their families have joined us.

As a Credit Union, we are member-owned, not-for-profit financial organization. Our purpose is to encourage savings by offering a good return and use the collective monies to make loans at competitively low interest rates. The Credit Union is democratically operated under state and federal regulations.
